The XENOPURE Plant Small RNA Purification Kit isolated more total RNA from 100 mg each of the mosses Sanionia uncinate and Marchantia polymorpha and 100 mg of Arabidopsis thaliana tissue powder than company I’s kit. 400 ng of RNA were loaded on the lanes. Most genomic DNA was removed, and a significant amount of small RNAs was accumulated in the XENOPURE lanes. For gel electrophoresis, 1% agarose gels and 15% page-gels were used.

qRT-PCR analysis of reference genes for Arabidopsis thaliana was conducted by isolated total RNA using the XENOPURE Plant Small RNA Purification Kit. Then 100 ng of total RNA was used to synthesize cDNAs.
